Fresh

Nothing is better than a fresh juicy apple ripened by the sunshine, picked at peak flavor.  Never waxed and stored or shipped from far away.  You will taste the difference.  Every week we have more varieties to try as they ripen from August through October. Most folks like to pick their own, but we also have prepicked bags in our Farmstore.

New Varieties

We have planted many new young trees which will be coming into production over the next few years. We are excited these apples have great flavor and are crisp and juicy!

Sansa, Blondee, Crimson Crisp, Liberty, RubyMac, Ambrosia, Pink Lady

Then even more new varieties will begin producing…

SunCrisp, SnowSweet, Ruby Rush, IdaRed, Braeburn

Look for them in our farmstore first, then eventually will be PYO.

Pick Your Own Varieties

We grow a wide range of varieties from tart to sweet all season long. Come back every week to try what is ripe, and find a new favorite apple!

Early Season (Aug-Mid Sept) – PaulaRed, Zestar, Akane, GingerGold, McIntosh, Gala, Pristine

Mid Season (Sept- Early Oct) – Cortland, HoneyCrisp, Haralson, Jonathan, Fuji, Empire, Prairie Spy

Late Season (October) –  Macoun, Northern Spy, JonaGold, Melrose, Cameo, Regent, Fortune, Golden & Red Delicious, Golden Russet

Our Apple Trees

You will notice we have both traditional large trees with big branches, and also tall narrow trees supported by a trellis post and wire. We will be adding new trees each year, and you can look forward to finding both new varieties and old favorites at our Orchard.

Un-Common Apples

Also known as Heirloom apples, Antique apples, Old Fashioned apples…we just call them fun! Many have long interesting historical stories or pedigrees, and origins from all over the world. All across America in the 17-1800s there were many regional favorites, each claiming to be the best…but some were not!

We have preserved a collection of these heirloom apple trees for you to explore and enjoy in our Farmstore. Some varieties do not bear fruit every year, or not large quantities, so get them while they last!
