Frequently asked questions.

Do you charge admission fees?

No, there is no fee to park or shop at our Farmstore or Brat barn or Kids play area. For access to our Pick Your Own orchard, we require that you purchase the bag first, and then go fill it with whatever varieties are ripe that day. Included in the PYO experience are hiking trails, tire swings, and viewing the farm animals.

How are you dealing with COVID?

Apple & Pumpkin picking in the fresh air and sunshine are a welcome relief during these times. To ensure a pleasant safe experience for everyone we ask that you respect social distancing, especially when waiting in line or in our Farmstore. We have multiple hand wash stations and sanitizer around for your convenience, and we use contactless credit card readers.. Thanks for your patience, and enjoy the outdoors with your family.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We are a small local business so good ole cash still works best, but we use Square and accept all major credit cards as well. We also accept WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program Coupons and feel everyone should have access to fresh local produce for a healthy life!

Are you Organic?

The term Certified Organic is now regulated by the Government, and restricts growers to a select list of pesticides. Organic apples are still sprayed, sometimes more frequently because the spray doesn’t last as long. We are not a certified organic orchard, but use IPM Integrated Pest Management, which means we try to only spray when a disease or pest is found and causing harm to the crop. We research carefully the chemicals we use, to find the most effective and least harmful. New methods are constantly being tested to improve the orchard health and reduce impact on beneficial insects.

Can I bring my dog?

We love Dogs! We keep them at home though, because our farm courtyard is not able to safely manage lots of families and dogs together. Hopefully we will have special “dog-friendly” events soon, but please do not bring your dog buddies during our regular business hours.

Can I rent your barn for an event?

Yes, we are planning new special events at the farm, and your own group can reserve a Pavilion or the Big Red Barn. Please call to discuss format and availabile dates.

Is your apple cider pasteurized?

No, we make our cider fresh every week, blending certain varieties for the best flavor. We do not add preservatives or sulfites, and do not heat pasteurize. If you do not drink it within 10 days we recommend bringing it to a boil for 1 minute. Freeze it fresh for enjoyment throughout the year, just remember to remove 1 cup from the jug to leave room for expansion when it freezes.

Our cider is great for home brewing!
